Welcome to Sweet Beat!

For Blueberry, Toffee, and Caramel, working at a flying bakery is business as usual, until they meet the pink-haired hobo with a bottomless stomach, Parfait. Parfait owes Blueberry some money, so she has to work at the bakery to pay her back. But little do they know, Parfait holds an incredibly valuable item: the recipe for the worlds greatest cookies! Throw in a group of pirates working at a rival restaurant who'd do anything for some cash, and you have a recipe for awesome sauce.

Sweet Beat Switching Host Sites

Hello all.

Happy Moth Studios is looking to no longer update on Smack Jeeves anymore. Now, of course we'll still be doing the webcomic, just on a different site.

It's going to take a little bit to get everything converted, but we hope that the transition will be smooth and that it will work better.

Reasons for doing this:
-We want a better site. One that's easier to control and edit.
-We want a cheaper url. We're college students and spending $60+ on a url just seems like a lot.

Thank you for your understanding and if you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

You are the most patient fans I've ever known and I'm glad to make webcomics for you. The summer got away with me with cons and a huge overseas trip I'm taking soon. Thank you so much everybody!

Comic Stuff Update!

Hello, ladies and gentlemen. I'm really sorry about the lack of updates lately. I've been extremely busy/lazy/on vacation. I'm working hard to get some kind of a buffer built up.

But in the meantime, I got hired to draw a mini comic for someone I met at a con about a year ago. They're very nice and I'm very excited to get this project underway. I'll try and post some of that progress art on out blog here

I also just got back from C2E2 in Chicago, IL. I had a blast, brought home tons of swag and met so many amazing people. It was a great time and if you ever get a chance to go, I say go. It was one of the best shows I've ever been to.

And one final thing: I got asked to work on a secret project that a certain Eisner Award Winning artist asked me to do. And that's just something I can't say no to. So I'll also be working on that. Drawing and writing. I'm very excited about it, I wish I could tell you guys. But as I said: It's a secret.

Thank you everyone for being so patient. I'm trying to work harder.

Love you guys,
Courtney H.

I need more time...

Hi all.

It's been a weird year so far and I'm just trying to get the hang of it. And that's pretty sad since it's just started.

I'm trying harder to do better in school and that hurts. And I'm sorry that I can update every week like regular. I'm going to do my best over the next couple of weeks to make a buffer of comics so I don't miss a Monday. I'd like to thank you all for being so patient and just overall being awesome people.

I'm working hard to also make some new designs for an upcoming Talent Day at the college I plan on attending. You can view all of those on the Happy moth Studios site, happymothstudios.blogspot.com

All I can really say is that I need more time to work things out. I'm not entirely sure what's going on right now. So continue to be awesome.

Thank you,

A little somethin, somethin

Welp, Thanksgiving's finally over. Now I know why people don't like being around family. I'm getting super tired of mine, but that's a different story.

Since I need to start getting use to drawing on the computer again, I came up with this little diddy:

This is a character for Sweet Beat that will be showing up later but prolly not for a while. I was kinda experimenting with a new hairstyle for her, so this might change.

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and ate all you could!

Only Ten Left

Okay, so earlier this year, Ducky and I printed a decent run of the first chapter of Sweet Beat into a book.

We are now down to our last ten copies. There will never be any more of these and I wanted to let you guys know in case you wanted any.

We'll most likely put up a listing on Etsy, which can be found on the side tab labled 'Shop'.

If you are interested in purchasing one, please let me know. The book will be $6, plus about $2 for shipping.

Thank you,

Sketch Blog

Hey guys!

So the first chapter is coming to a close, and I've gotta keep busy for the next couple of weeks working on Sweet Beat and I just got another gig with a very popular reviewer on a very popular review site.

Sooooooo, to hold you over for the next three weeks(soooo sarcastic), I've made a sketch blog!
This blog will have plenty of arts straight from my sketchbook that are Sweet Beat related.

Here is the Sweet Beat blog.
And Here is my own personal tumblog, so yea.

As previously stated, Happy Moth Studios is taking a trip down to Kokomo, IN for the creatively named KOKOMO-CON on Saturday.
We're both very excited. It's almost here~

So yeah, I think that's all I have to say.
I'll see ya around,

Thank You for Fifty Fans!

Yeah, I know we broke fifty fans a few weeks ago, but I'd just like to say how grateful I am to have so many fans and so many regular commenters. You guys catch what I miss and can hopefully make me a better artist and more aware of things.

I wanna do something for you guys, but I don't know what. What would you like to see? Anything. What kind of art? Do you want merch?
Please let me know!

In the meantime, let me show you something.

I'm trying to put a lot of effort into this next chapter to help my coloring skills.

I really do want my readers' input. You all mean a lot to me and I'm going to keep trudging forward as best I can.

Thank you all,
Happy Moth Studios

I wish I had a Futurama joke to put here, but I'm very tired.

First of all, I would like to welcome all of our new fans. I'm very grateful for each and every one of you and I hope you enjoy reading Sweet Beat! half as much as we enjoyed writing it. Chapter two is coming along nicely and I'm very excited to let you all read it. But I can't yet (cuz none of it's finished, nuuuuuuuu)

I would like to apologize for the lack of update last week. Ducky and I were in Texas on vacation and we had virtually no access to Internet because my grandparents don't know exactly what they're doing when it comes to technologies. We do have some pictures to show you from our time at San Japan, so stay tuned for those.

I would like to keep a sketch blog for a lot of the SB related sketches I'm doing. Mostly to showcase the updated style that I'm working on and I'm very proud of. I feel that Tumblr might be the best way to do that. I'll let you know what goes on with that when it happens. Stay tuned... Again.

This year is a big year. Ducky is starting her freshman year in college, and I am starting my senior year in high school. I'm very excited and very nervous for what is to come. And with a new year, come new conventions that we will be going to.

To my friends, it's no secret that I love selling in the Artist's Alley. Not just because I'm making money, but because I get to meet new people and make them happy. Our next convention is gonna be here before we know it. It'll be KOKOMO-CON, down in Kokomo, IN. If you're in the Midwest area and have a free Saturday, I suggest you come over and have a good time. It'll be KOKOMO-CON's second year.

Now, for the stuff that will pertain to you, the readers! I'm really excited for the opportunities that I've been given and I'd like to have a few GIVE-A-WAYS! I've got plans for one-of-a-kind keychains and special Sweet Beat prints. I really wanna make these happen and I'm just so excited for what the future holds.

I've gone on long enough.
Thank you,
